Hershey entertains Cleveland tonight in Game 6 of the American Hockey League’s Calder Cup Eastern Conference Finals at Giant Center. Face-off is at 7 p.m.The Bears outshot Cleveland 34-25 in Game 5 but Monsters goalie Jet Greaves made 33 saves. Since being pulled from Tuesday’s 6-2 loss in Game 3, Greaves has 66 saves while allowing just three goals.
Hershey won the first two games of this series at home but needed overtime to do it. The Bears prevailed 5-4 in Game 1 and 3-2 in Game 2. During Hershey’s dominating 53-14-0-5 run through the regular season, the Bears only lost three games in a row once – to Utica , Lehigh Valley and Charlotte . Hershey will advance to the Calder Cup Finals with a victory tonight. Coachella Valley awaits the series winner. The Firebirds won the Western Conference Finals with a 5-1 triumph in Game 5 at Milwaukee on Saturday night.
