Niantic Inc, creator of the wildly successful Pokémon Go, has announced Monster Hunter Now – a brand new mobile title coming this September based on Capcom’s long-running series.
Niantic describe the game as bringing “the exciting experience of Monster Hunter to streets, parks and neighborhoods around the world” and will arrive on iOS and Android in September. Players are already being offered the chance toYou’ll take on the role of a hunter in the game – of course – but this time you’ll be venturing into the real world and teaming up with fellow players to take down the monsters you know and love from the Monster Hunter series.
Niantic promise that both Monster Hunter veterans and newcomers to the series will be able to enjoy the game – and there’ll even be items that help you play at your own pace, with one example given being the Paintball. You’ll be able to use this on a Monster you encounter while out and about, and it’ll allow you to bring that same monster back home with you to fight when you’re ready or with your friends.
