Monsoon rains to persist as ButchoyPH moves away from PH WeatherPatrol
MANILA — Monsoon rains will persist over parts of Luzon and Visayas as Tropical Depression Butchoy moves farther away from the Philippine landmass, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.
PAGASA weather forecaster Ana Clauren said Butchoy, which is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Friday night or Saturday morning, will have no direct effect on the country as it moves away from the landmass. Rainy weather is still expected over Metro Manila on Saturday, with the weather condition to improve by Sunday.
