Vacca, now 43, of Rochester, became a Monroe County assistant district attorney in 2007. She was elected as a Monroe County Court judge in 2020 and has served as an acting justice on the New York State Supreme Court since January 2023."Judge Vacca has every quality you could want in a jurist — compassionate, tough, legally astute, with a genuine love for her community," Schumer said.Adopted from Korea at 6 months old, Vacca grew up in the town of Greece.
