Officials in Europe are investigating a rare outbreak of monkeypox, which is rarely detected outside of West and Central Africa
The Ministry of Health for Madrid in Spain said Wednesday that it is investigating 23 suspected cases of monkeypox.
In Portugal, health authorities are probing five confirmed and at least 15 suspected cases. Those add to an outbreak in the U.K., where authorities are tracking seven confirmed cases and one probable case.
