The Flood Watch which has been in place for most of the weekend, is expected to expire by 8 pm for Glynn, Camden, Duval, and Nassau counties as the weekend rainwater starts to drain. Areas affected are along waterways and urban areas that are prone to flooding. According to a message from the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, the 0.88 inches of rainfall at the JAX International Airport yesterday brought the August total to 12.12 inches, which now ranks as the 7th wettest on record . In addition, the daily record rainfall of 3.23 inches yesterday at Craig Executive Airport in Eastern Duval County brought their August total to 13.86 inches, which ranks 2nd highest on record .
Highs today in Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida will range in the upper 80s at the coast to low 90s inland.
