A mother of a 19-year-old boy has sought the assistance of the Public Attorney’s Office (PA0) for an autopsy of his remains for possible adverse effect of the COVID-19 vaccine. Read more:
PAO chief Persida Acosta said Helen Gaa of Galicia Street, Sampaloc, Manila sent her a letter on March 23, requesting autopsy of her son, Miguel Antonio de Castro, who died at the Mary Chiles General Hospital due to septic shock and and meningo-encephalitis. Acosta referred Gaa’s request to the Department of Justice and asked the National Bureau of Investigation for a probe of the matter.
She also referred the matter to Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, and the Philippine National Police chief for investigations, as well as the Department of Health autopsy team. Rio N. ArajaAccording to Gaa, her family, including Miguel Antonio, donated blood for a friend with leukemia last Feb. 27, during which her son complained of dizziness.
