A 45-year-old Hondo woman has admitted she killed her infant daughter, who was found in brush on a Medina County road after her birth some 20 years ago. Maricela V. Frausto pleaded guilty Monday to the lesser offense of manslaughter, a second-degree felony, in exchange for an 18-year prison term, Medina County court records indicate. A grand jury indicted Frausto in 2023, 19 years after her baby's death.
