Brazilian winger Lucas Ribeiro is yet to show the best of his qualities at Mamelodi Sundowns despite making a scoring debut on Friday.
The 24-year-old came through the development ranks of Brazilian club Esporte Clube Pinheiros before moving to the reserve team of Valenciennes in France in July 2017 from where he went on to Belgium where he found home at Royal Excelsior Virton in the second-tier league before stints at Chaleroi SC, RWD Molenbeek, Royal Excel Mouscron, and SK Beveren.
"A lot of work was done by senior management in relation to recruitment where we looked at numbers and possibilities in certain areas from our matrix and our way of playing. "This gives you an advantage because before he even arrived, he was already watching our games and having zoom meetings with me so that we get him into our way of thinking how we want to play."From the second space was to have him training from day one so that has helped."I think he is still trying to find his feet in acclimatising to the league because the league is more intense in terms of marking and little but more robust with the duels.
