The Liverpool ECHO spoke to the Chronicle's podcast host Andrew Musgrove ahead of the Reds' clash with the Magpies
They face Eddie Howe's side, who have got off to a positive start, emphatically beating Aston Villa before being edged out by Newcastle United.
on a range of topics from Newcastle United's aspirations and the Saudi Arabian interest in Mohamed Salah. It's hard to say with this being only the third game of the season but it does feel like the squad and fans now accept they belong at the top end of the table. There's no fear shown to the big clubs anymore and it's all about feeling like you belong within in the conversation for European football.
Eddie Howe wants to win every game, and if you want to be in the top 4 then some would say you do have to be winning these games but football is never that simple. I don't think there's too much between the squads and for that reason, I don't think there's a belief Newcastle 'should' win but rather they can win. If United play at their very best, they're a match for anyone.
