A 1924 Ford Model T is on a cross-country trip.
In 1924, the Model T Ford was revolutionary. It was one of the top-selling cars in the world because it was both affordable and accessible. 'The Model T is special because it was the first mass-produced car, they changed the way we do things in America and American life,' according to Model T Historian Mike Vaughn.Mike McGough says, 'It gave us the opportunity to grow beyond the horse and buggy. it gave us an opportunity to live in the suburbs, it gave us the opportunity to travel.
The trip included a stop in the Susquehanna Valley. Paul Speigh was one of half a dozen centenarians who welcomed the tour in Cross Keys Village, Adams County. He said the car takes him back to his childhood. 'It's history,' according to Speigh, who is 101 years old.Nine-year-old Dierks Wiles also came to see the Model T. He said the cars are his favorites. Wiles brought along his camera so he could capture the moment.His favorite part of the experience was sitting in the vehicle.
