Sgt. Chris Reed, 52, was booked into the Baldwin County Jail Tuesday for attempting to commit a controlled substance crime.

Reed arrived at a location in Fairhope in his unmarked city vehicle and was arrested without incident, the news release says. Reed has been with the Mobile Police Department since 2012, according to the release, most recently working in Domestic Violence.
