Joining Team USA for the second time is Mobile native and Olympic silver medalist Paige Madden. Madden crushed the competition at the 2024 US Olympic Swim Trial
s in Indianapolis. She placed second in the 400- and 800-meter freestyle races and third in the 200-meter freestyle. She qualified for three events at the 2024 Olympic Games .Madden is a fierce competitor who has dedicated years of her life to the sport. She got her start in Mobile , where she swam competitively. In Alabama, she set records. At the 2020 US Olympic trials she set her eyes on Tokyo .
Despite the challenges COVID-19 imposed on the Tokyo Olympic Games, Madden persevered. She shined on the Olympic podium after winning a silver medal in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay and breaking a world record in the process.
