A 34-year-old Mobile man, identified as Darrell Brown, died from a gunshot wound after a shooting on Orchard Drive Monday night. Brown’s death marked the third homicide in Mobile in 72 hours.

A 34-year-old Mobile man died from a gunshot wound after a shooting on Orchard Drive Monday night.

According to Mobile police, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Orchard Street shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, they found Darrell Brown suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Brown was transported to a local hospital, but later died from his injury.Brown’s death marked the third homicide in Mobile in 72 hours.
