A judge on Thursday sentenced a Mobile man to life in prison without possibility of parole for a fatal shooting outside of a convenience store in August 2022.

. Prosecutors played surveillance video during the trial showing a man they said was Norwood riding a bicycle up to Blessings Convenience on Pecan Street and confronting Eldred Bogan on the steps.

The Mobile Police Department has asked to the public’s help in locating Billy Norwood, aka “Billy the Kid,” who is wanted on a murder warrant.Because of the 57-year-old defendant’s prior history, Mobile County Circuit Judge Vicki Davis had only two sentencing options – life in prison with or without possibility of parole. The judge chose the more severe punishment.

“Billy Norwood murdered Eldred Bogan in broad daylight and has shown absolutely no remorse,” Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said in a statement. “We believe that justice was served today.
