A Mount Vernon man's body was found in January 2019 by his mother after she did not hear from him for several days. His roommate pleaded guilty Tuesday in the killing.

Damon Jenkins, 46, of Mount Vernon, pleaded guilty Tuesday to murdering Latywen Guanchez Caster, his 43-year-old roommate, according to court records.Caster was found in January 2019 by his mother in a closet after she did not hear from him for several days.
