The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office announces the termination of a corrections officer following an investigation into the introduction of contraband into Mobile County Metro Jail .
The Officer, Stephanie Marie Carson, was found to have violated Metro Jail’s policies by bringing prohibited items into the Mobile County Metro Jail. The breach of conduct not only jeopardizes the safety and security of both staff and inmates but also undermines the integrity of our correctional system.
Upon discovery of the incident, immediate action was taken to conduct a thorough investigation. As a result of the findings, STEPHANIE CARSON was terminated from her position effective today, October 4, 2024. Carson began her career as a corrections officer in October 2022. Carson has been arrested and charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 3rd , Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd , and Attempted Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
