MMDA: 2,302 drivers breached exclusive motorcycle lane along Commonwealth Ave in two days

A total of 2,302 drivers have been apprehended since the full implementation of the exclusive motorcycle lane along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, the MMDA said. | DYGalvezINQ

According to the MMDA, they need at least three months to assess the policy’s effectiveness in reducing the number of motorcycle-related accidents and improving the traffic flow along Commonwealth Avenue.

More than 20,000 motorists were pulled over during the dry run of the exclusive motorcycle lane in Quezon City on Sunday, March 26, according to the MMDA.Now that it’s no longer a practice implementation, erring private motorists and public utility vehicle drivers will be fined P500 and P1,200, respectively.
