Right now, there are 25 teams in Major League Baseball that are lying to you. That number could shrink in the coming days and months, but for right now, those 25 and the league simply aren't honest. If this were about ticket prices or whether your favorite team really has a shot at winning the World Series, you might be willing to let it all slide. But this is far more serious. In some senses, there’s a chance it could be deadly.
Ask the 30 clubs and Commissioner Rob Manfred and each and every one of them will say that fan safety is of utmost importance. And yet, as visibility, lawsuits, and pressure from fans, media, and elected officials mount, there are currently just five that are really serious about protecting fans. Those five seem to actually mean what they say.When a 2-year-old girlin Houston during a game between the Astros and Cubs, it was yet another shocking case of fan injury that jumped to the front page.
