Freddie Freeman's son Max is home following an eight-day stay at the pediatric ICU. The three-year-old was diagnosed with transient synovitis (also known as irritable hip) and Guillain-Barre syndrome in July after experiencing severe pain.

Last month, Freddie found out that Max was rushed to the emergency room in pain and was unable to "sit, stand or walk" because of it. The toddler had "stopped eating or drinking and was very lethargic," according to Chelsea's Instagram Story at the time. He was eventually diagnosed with his health condition, which is caused by the hip joint's lining becoming inflamed., which included his follow-up diagnosis."Last Friday, Max rapidly declined and went into full body paralysis. We are very fortunate to have gotten him to the hospital in time so they could reinforce his lungs," she began. "Freddie was in Houston at the time and rushed to the first flight back home. After many tests, Max is battling a severe case of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
