MLS Suspends Season Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
-- The XFL has joined the 4 other American pro leagues and ended its regular season. Commish Oliver Luck says all players will be paid their base pay and benefits for the 2020 regular season.-- Major League Baseball has also announced the suspension of its season ... saying in a statement Thursday the start of the 2020 season will be delayed by at least 2 weeks.
"Following last night's news that an NBA player has tested positive for coronavirus -- and given that our leagues share so many facilities and locker rooms and it now seems likely that some member of the NHL community would test positive at some point -- it is no longer appropriate to try to continue to play games at this time," the league said in a statement.
