The 2024 MLB All-Star Game auction will take place live in Capital One MLB All-Star Game Village in Arlington, TX on July 16th at 10:00 am CT.
President John F. Kennedy's baseball memorabilia Baseball memorabilia dating to the 19th century and a baseball thrown by John F. Kennedy, are among the slew of items that will soon be available for auction.At the auction, items signed by former U.S. presidents or used by MLB legends will be among hundreds of items sold, according to a news release.. Online pre-bidding for the initial lots ends at 9 p.m. Monday. Those goods will reopen for live bidding at 10 a.m.
Lee, the lead singer, bassist and keyboardist of the band Rush, owns a collection containing hundreds of signed and historic baseballs. He started his collection while touring the U.S. in the 1970s, the release states. The installment contains president-signed baseballs, a majority of which were thrown as a ceremonial first pitch.
Nine silver trophy balls from the 1800s will be auctioned as part of the Paul Basile collection. Basile, who died in November, was a seasoned collector in the Boston area with a specialty in photography and early baseball artifacts.“The portrait image is the very one used for the iconic 1909-11 T-206 baseball tobacco card with very few surviving copies known,” the news release states.
Hunt Auctions, which is facilitating the auction, has been in the sports memorabilia auction industry for 35 years, according to its website.Arlington, the MLB and the Texas Rangers are preparing for thousands of travelers to descend upon the city when All-Star Weekend begins July 13.Texas Rangers’ new 2024 food: chicken-fried brisket taco, Korean pork and Whataburger, Trending Reporter.
