JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — The criminal trial set to begin in southern Indiana this month for Misty Noel has been pushed to the fall.
Misty is the wife of former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, who is facing 31 felonies, including counts of theft, tax evasion, corrupt business practices, ghost employment, official misconduct and money laundering. Both have pleaded not guilty to all charges. The investigation expanded numerous times over the last 13 months. Dozens of search warrants have been conducted and court documents show investigators believe Jamey, Misty and Kasey racked up millions of dollars in unlawful purchases on Utica Township Volunteer Firefighters Association credit cards from 2019-2023.Court documents indicate at least $660,000 of the unlawful spending is attributed to Misty.
