The coroner’s news release states that 17-year-old Quinterrion Smith was hit by a vehicle on July 11 and later died from his injuries at Wellspan York Hospital in Springettsbury Township.The coroner says Smith was crossing the street with his friends in the area of Rt.30 and North Hills Rd. around 10:11 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle and sustained critical injuries. The driver is reportedly cooperating with police.
Smith’s family has launched a GoFundMe to cover the costs of getting his body back home to Mississippi to be reunited with his family. With your prayers and support, he can be closer to family and friends who know and love him," his family wrote. An autopsy has been scheduled for July 17 at Lehigh Valley Hospital to determine the official cause of death.
