If you've been to one of CicLAvia's events — or maybe even another event put on by ActiveSGV, like last fall's ArroyoFest on the 110 Freeway — then you'll be familiar with the format. Walking, running, skating, scooting, biking and hoverboarding is all fair game as long as you do it safely. There'll also be activity hubs along the route to rest up, get water, and visit booths set up by local organizations.

The event will be Metro-accessible with a connection to the A Line in South Pasadena. And if you don't have wheels, San Gabriel Valley residents can rent an e-bike through thefor $45 per day. E-bikes will also be available for free trial runs if you're curious about trying an e-bike out but aren't ready to commit.Since there'll be a mix of transportation modes along the route, regular safety tips apply: Yield to slower traffic, stay to the right and share the road respectfully.

If you plan on driving in the area, you won't be totally fenced in: Car crossings will be allowed at certain intersections along the route.will take effect at 5 a.m. until the end of the event at 3 p.m. And if you plan on parking on one of the streets that will be closed, you'll need to move your car by midnight the night before., held in 2017, was over three times as long, ranging from South Pasadena to Azusa.
