A family is desperately searching for a missing package containing a fallen soldier's uniforms, which were intended to be made into teddy bears as a keepsake. The package, addressed to a company specializing in creating such bears, has vanished, causing the family immense anguish and leaving them determined to recover the irreplaceable items.

Last Fourth of July, Jamieson Ritter's father, Jon Ritter, is desperately searching for a missing package containing his son's military uniforms. The uniforms were sent to be transformed into teddy bears as a family keepsake, but never reached their destination. 'This package is invaluable,' Jon Ritter said. 'I mean, I can never replace these uniforms ever.

' The package was addressed to Sommer's company, a specialized service that creates teddy bears from the uniforms of fallen military, police, fire, and first responders. 'I make teddy bears out of the uniforms of our fallen military and police, fire and first responders,' said Sommer. 'This is a precious package, this isn't just some package of whatever, they're not sending me a sweater. This is someone's uniform that is irreplaceable and we need to find it.' Jamieson Ritter became a Cleveland police officer in 2020 and was deployed to Syria with the Ohio Army National Guard in 2022 before resuming his police duties in 2023. 'You know, my son was in Syria for a year,' Jon Ritter said. 'I’d mail him a dozen packages to some outpost in the middle of a desert, and he got every single one of them. Some of those things had thousands of dollars worth of stuff, and he got them, no problem. And here I'm just trying to mail something across the country, and it doesn't get them.''I mean, all we want to do is get my son's uniforms,' Ritter said. 'At this point, I just want them back. I'll drive them to Wyoming if I have to.' In a statement, the Postal Service said it is actively working to locate the package, apologizing and offering condolences to the family
