Deundray Cottrell, 31, was last seen July 4 in the 7900 block of 4th Avenue North.
On July 4, Birmingham Police say they were called to a residence in the 7900 block of 4th Avenue North on a missing persons case. Officials say that is where they discovered that 31-year-old Deundray Cottrell was missing. BPD says he was last seen on foot leaving a residence at the same address in the South Eastlake community.
Friday, July 5, BPD supervisors began searching the area and located some clothing items and also received surveillance footage from a community member who believed that Cottrell was on the footage walking in the area. Officials say based on the clothing items and the surveillance footage, they had a general area of where to look when they continued their search Saturday, July 6.
