abc.net.au/news/suspicious-disappearance-investigation-brett-orme-missing-man/102755230Homicide detectives have been briefed after the vehicle of a missing man was found abandoned at a wetlands reserve north of Brisbane.
Police said Mr Orme had a conversation with his son on August 13 saying, "that they'd be meeting up soon". "Mr Orme has taken a photograph of himself at Ironbark Gully," Detective Superintendent Massingham said."The vehicle is seen entering Deep Water Bend [at Bald Hills] just after 7pm on that night [and] was in the vicinity … for some three-and-a-half hours before it leaves, only for three or four minutes, and then again is seen [returning] around midnight."
"At this stage we don't know if Mr Orme met with foul play over at … Ironbark Gully, or whether … something has occurred here [at Tinchi Tamba]," he said."Extensive" air, river and land searches, aided by police divers and a helicopter, around the wetlands over the past few days have failed to locate the missing man.
"We have commenced acquiring some CCTV of the area, and will [continue] doing so over the next few days." "If people have access to dashcam [footage] from that evening , we ask that they secure it and phone Crime Stoppers.
