Durban - The search for missing Durban nurse Sushie Govender will not end on a beach. That was the opinion of Dhevan Govindasamy from PT Alarms in Isipingo, whose team has been closely involved in the hunt for the 50-year-old Chatsworth wife and mother. Govender, an ICU nurse from St Augustine’s Hospital, went missing on Wednesday, March 20, reportedly while visiting Isipingo Beach on her day off. She has not been seen since.
He said there were often fishermen on Isipingo beach and appealed for anyone who may have seen Govender on the beach to come forward. Her car was found at Reunion Park with her bag and belongings still inside. Her cellphone and a slipper were found on the beach. “Our coastline is so dynamic with conditions changing from day to day, which makes it extremely difficult to predict.
“So by tracking movement and direction, you could pretty much work out where a body may be, but it would have to be soon after disappearance.”
