NAPAGDESISYUNAN ng Miss World Organization na pansamantalang i-postpone ang global broadcast finale na dapat ay gaganapin ngayong December 16 dahil sa banta ng COVID-19.
Matapos makipagpulong ng organisasyon sa mga virologists at medical experts at pakikipag-diskusyon sa Puerto Rico Health Department ay minabuti na muna nilang i-reschedule ang nasabing global broadcast finale para na rin sa kaligtasan at seguridad ng mga kandidata pati ng mga taong parte ng naturang pageant.
At ayon sa huling nai-report ay umabot na ang bilang ng mga positibo sa 17 katao at kasama na rin ang kandidata ng Malaysia na si Dr. Lavanya Sivaji.
