Miss SA pageant to proceed as Chidimma Adetshina meets all eligibility requirements
Despite controversy and calls for the removal of Chidimma Adetshina from the Miss SA pageant competition due to doubts about her South African identity, the show goes on after the organisation confirmed that the 23-year-old has met all the requirements to compete for the crown.
On Tuesday morning, iconic musician Thandiswa Mazwai faced backlash after she asked for gender justice and social activist Anele Mda to remove her song, Nizalwa Ngobani? from a post that criticised Adetshina's participation in the Miss SA pageant. Mazwai has since deleted the post, while Kganyago deactivated her X account due to the severe backlash.
Modiga, who has recently released an album titled Nomthandazo, not only expresses herself through her African-inspired music, but also through fashion and makeup.
