MIRI: Sarawak PKR has set up a special bureau to look into community health issues in the state, which will be headed by Miri MP Dr Michael Teo.
Sarawak PKR information and communications chief Abun Sui Anyit said party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had given the go-ahead to establish the bureau to address vital health issues Sarawakians are facing now.
Dr Teo, who is a medical doctor, was appointed to head the Sarawak PKR community health bureau, Sui told The Star on Thursday . "The Sarawak PKR leadership recently held a video conference with Anwar, who said he wanted to see the process of reformation speeded up in Sarawak. "He called on Sarawak PKR to form a strong team of capable leaders to bring effective reformation into this state.
"We in Sarawak PKR have since identified capable leaders made up of youths and veterans to hasten reformation.Another bureau has also been set up to look into native customary rights in Sarawak, headed by prominent Miri-based human rights lawyer Harrison Ngau Laing, he said.Article type: free
