The Padres’ 2022 draft class is looking deeper by the day.
The 22-year-old infielder on Thursday was named the California League’s player of the month for April. He led the league in on-base percentage , was second in batting average , hits and OPS and fourth in runs and total bases .For the season, Pauley is hitting .359/.462/.538 with two homers and 13 RBIs in his first 22 games at low Single-A Lake Elsinore and he’s got more walks than strikeouts while hitting .311/.428/.503 since making his debut last summer after the draft.
The left-handed-hitting Pauley has seen most of his action at third base but has also seen time at second base , left field and shortstop .Thursday’s scoreboard
