"Managing the right to protest against the right of ordinary Australians to be free from racial vilification or intimidation to violence is an extremely difficult task." "We need to learn from the lessons from Monday night. Police will of course be reasonable and proportionate on the weekend. "We are not considering the full suite of powers available to use which have a very high threshold of authorisation," Acting Commissioner David Hudson said.
