Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said in a video posted Sunday the state will not devote resources to federal 'immigration business.'

Ellison noted Minnesota should focus its “scarce” resources on itself, while the federal government should “focus on its own business.” He began the message by claiming an official in the Trump administration threatened local law enforcement with jail for not cooperating with federal immigration law enforcement.to all employees of the U.S.

In Bove’s memo, however, the federal official reportedly claimed laws and actions threatening the executive branch’s immigration initiatives also put public safety and national security at risk.
