LABUAN: The Labuan branch of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has seized 44,000 litres of subsidised diesel found in modified storage tanks of two vehicles.

Its director Junaidah Arbain, said the raid was carried out at an undisclosed location at noon on Monday , and the enforcement team also seized two containers used to store diesel, along with tools used for diverting controlled goods, with a total value of RM94,600.

"The case is being investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act for possessing controlled goods with the intention of committing an offence, read together with Regulation 3 of the Supply Control Regulations 1974, for carrying out controlled goods transactions without a licence," she said in a statement.
