Minister of State for Northern Ireland Steve Baker paid a visit to Enniskillen this week to see plans for the development of a new £52m leisure centre in the town.
If current council estimates are accurate, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council would need a further £32million to fund the project, which is expected to be finished by 2026. Planning and procurement processes for the redevelopment project are currently underway with the overall redevelopment project subject to final Council approval pending the outcome of a Full Business Case.
"Levelling Up is all about benefitting local communities and I am confident that the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum leisure centre will do just that.
