DAVAO CITY — Mindanao is expected to sustain a sufficient supply of electricity in 2023, an official of the Department of Energy -Mindanao said.
He told Kapihan sa Philippine information Agency -Davao on Friday that the current power surplus will be sustained in Mindanao, whose installed capacity reached a total of 4,527 MW as of October 31. He said the current power structure of Mindanao is composed of 50.1% coal, 18.1% oil-based, 2.5% geothermal, 25.7% hydro, 1.7% biomass, and 1.9% solar.
