A suspect wanted in connection with a Milwaukee homicide is dead after a police shooting in downtown late Friday, September 2.
Officials say shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, officers spotted a vehicle and a suspect near 22nd and National Avenue that was wanted in the homicide. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. However, the driver refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The end of a dramatic police pursuit and police shooting of a homicide suspect was captured on cellphone by a person on Water Street.
Each officer will be placed on administrative duty as is routine in officer involved critical incidents. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team will be investigating this incident. The Oak Creek Department will be the lead law enforcement agency in the investigation. Police shooting investigation on E.
