The Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott the team’s NBA playoff game Wednesday, according to reports, to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake on Sunday by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin.The shooting has led to national outrage as an example of police brutality against Black men.
Cell phone video of the encounter showed Blake walking away from police before an officer grabs the back of his shirt and shots are then fired; Blake’s father said his son is now paralyzed from the waist down.’s Shams Charania reporting that the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets have decided to sit out their upcoming playoff game. The Bucks had more wins than any other team this NBA season, and are the top-seeded team in the Eastern Conference.“Some things are bigger than basketball.
