A Milton Police Department officer suffered life-threatening injuries after being run over by a vehicle that was attempting to flee officers.
A Milton Police Department officer suffered life-threatening injuries after being run over by a vehicle that was attempting to flee officers who were serving an outstanding drug warrant Wednesday morning.
"This is the reality of being a police officer," said Milton Police Department Chief Tony Hernandez. "Every day, we experience these kinds of dangers. We are a small department, so everyone is edgy and concerned. We know he is getting great care, but he will have a long recovery ahead of him." The MPD said the 32-year-old is known by the department from previous incidents. The man was later pursued and arrested by the Kent Police Department, and with the assistance of a PIT maneuver, the man was taken into custody, according to officials.
