There's a Bank Holiday coming up – meaning many will get their Child Benefit payments on a different date
Many UK families are to get their Child Benefit payments early this month – and some could be getting their payments as early as today. The benefit payment – which covers the costs of bringing up a child – is paid out on a Monday or a Tuesday.
Why are benefits being paid early this month? Many benefits, including Child Benefit, are being paid early this month, because some payments are due on a Bank Holiday. There are two Bank Holidays coming up this month – Monday 5 August in Scotland only and Monday 26 August in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
