Since 2016, Brown has played the starring role of Eleven in Netflix's hit supernatural series Stranger Things, which will conclude with its fifth and final season being released in three parts during November and December 2025. Now, Brown is starring and executive producing Prism, based on a short story of the same name. She plays the protagonist, Cassie, who can communicate with ghosts, referred to as"visitors", and must stop them from appearing across the globe before it's too late. Etan Frankel, who has previously worked on Shameless and Animal Kingdom, will be Prism's showrunner. Superman and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan is attached to the project as an executive producer, as are Marvel Cinematic Universe directors Joe and Anthony Russo and their production company AGBO. Brown previously worked with the Russos and AGBO for the Netflix science-fiction movie The Electric State. Deadline first reported the news of Prism's development.
