Hard-hitting South African batter David Miller is the most capped and experienced player in the T20 format but says he still gets nervous each time he jumps over the boundary ropes to represent the Proteas
The 32-year-old has played 95 matches in the shortest format and could become the first South African to reach the 100-mark milestone at the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.
Looking back on my career, I never dreamt of playing so many games for my country. It is an honour, but I still get nervous going into the games. After almost two months at the IPL, Miller chose not to return home before the trip to India. Instead, the left-hander went to the Maldives where he got to put his feet up for two days.
“Batting in the middle order, you do want to finish off games and so I do pride myself on that. It was nice to tick that box. Along with that, being successful as a team and winning the trophy was definitely a highlight.
