Miley Cyrus opened up about wearing 250 individual hair extensions during one of her ‘fringe’ eras
Cyrus, 32, opened up about wearing 250 individual hair extensions while chatting with Harper's Bazaar “The Good Buy” podcast during an upcoming episode, which will air on Friday, November 29. In a teaser for the episode shared via TikTok on Wednesday, November 27, Cyrus explained that she was in a fringe outfit era while rocking her long extensions — and eventually felt it was too much.
For the uninitiated, hair stylists usually recommend people get 75 to 200 individual strands installed in their head, depending on the desired thickness and length. Only someone with very thick, long, hair would need over 200 extensions. Miley went on to explain that now hairstylists “don't even” add that much hair to their client’s mane. “The kind of hair extensions that we had, they don't even do these anymore.”
