The intergenerational report speaks about five big shifts Australia will experience over the next four decades – part of which includes an ageing population and a shift away from hydrocarbons towards renewable energy. Climate change protesters were seen out front of the National Press Club where Mr Chalmers gave his address on the intergenerational report.
