Miki Sudo won her 10th consecutive Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Championship but also set a world record in the women's division.
Every Fourth of July, the world tunes in to see competitive eaters take on one of the toughest challenges on the planet: consuming as many hot dogs as possible in 10 minutes. Before the men's championship, the women lined up to see if a new champion would be crowned in the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Championship.That would not be the case on Thursday, as former nine-time champ Miki Sudo once again ran away with the title.
What makes Sudo more impressive is that her tenth consecutive title beats out Chestnut, who has only been able to secure a high of eight consecutive titles between 2016 and 2023.Chestnut has also been banned from this year's hot dog eating contest, after some drama occurred when it was revealed that Nathan's champion backed a vegan brand, resulting in Nathan's removing Chestnut from the 2024 hot dog eating championship.
