There will likely be changes coming to the Pittsburgh Steelers coaching staff.
said on Tuesday that he believes not all of his coaching staff’s contracts continue into the 2025 season, and that could be the impetus for change on the staff.
Tomlin himself is under contract through the 2027 season, but his assistants could see significant change. "I think change in coaching staffs are a component of our business. I certainly don’t think all of our coaches are under contract, and so change is a component of it,and I acknowledge it, but we’re at the very early stages of making those type of decisions and discussions," Tomlin said.
If there will be changes, it will likely be to defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, offensive line coach Pat Meyer, and other assistants who could be on the way out. The Steelers need a shakeup in philosophy and voices, and with Tomlin’s promise for chnage, that will first come from his assistants. Those changes are often announced shortly after the season’s conclusion, so the Steelers may announce those moves as early as Wednesday but could wait a bit until they parse through all the minutiae., where our team of sports betting experts has reviewed the experience, payout speed, parlay options and quality of odds for multiple sportsbooks.
