It’s a bad day for barbecue, bad Mexican food and Bubba Gump in our first-ever ranking of River Walk restaurant disasters.
As he sailed his turquoise boat full of tourists past the River Walk Mexican restaurant where I sat with fajitas and a Big Red margarita, a river barge captain rattled off a practiced patois: “San Antonio is full of restaurants with a wide variety of food. There’s German food, Mexican food, seafood, Mexican food, Italian food, Mexican food, barbecue, Mexican food.” You get the idea.
Top 10 restaurants on the River Walk But three of those Mexican restaurants wound up on this list, the Top 10 worst River Walk restaurants. And, yes, we should call them out. Because when it comes to spending your money on the River Walk, a list of where you shouldn’t go is just as important as a list of where you should go.
