I think the key for any endurance event is you need to understand your passion for doing it. Why did you want to do this? Why are you doing it?
She knew my passion for our military and for America, and helped me get this down as did the team from Boot Campaign. They helped pull me along.It was getting easier, mentally, being on the downhill side after the 16th day, but both years I’ve done this, on day 25 or 26, I almost quit. This year, on day 26, I was 26 miles in, meaning I had done at least 25 marathons in a row. I was dehydrated, out of water, and I’m five miles from my house, and my mouth is literally spitting white cotton.
